In today’s episode, we sit down with Amánda Argot Efthimiou to talk about all things psychedelics in the workplace. Amánda is a mental health advocate and psychedelic wellness & integration educator. She has more than a decade of experience supporting leaders and creators that intersect health, art, science, and impact industries. On top of this, she received her MSc from King’s College, London’s Psychology & Neuroscience of Mental Health program where she focused on the mental health outcomes of psilocybin used together with psychotherapy. She has also completed the MIND Foundation’s Beyond Experience training in Psychedelic Integration. Considering the broad spectrum of Amánda’s background, her brilliant ability to approach the rise of psychedelics in the workplace with ease, compassion, and consideration came as no surprise during our conversation. To better understand the potentials and dangers of the trend, we talk about Amánda’s path and what made her dive into the world of psychedelics, the (neuro-)science behind the substances, the fact that the real integration work usually starts after the peak, and find out that the real medicine is in fact always you.
